Mating Attempt!

Hi All,
We are very excited about the observation of a possible mating attempt by this pair on Feb. 17th. This is a good sign that the birds are anticipating breeding this year. For images of the birds at nest and to be a part of our online community please visit www.briloon.ning.org.

Many thanks for your posts and have a great day!
Best,

  1. Something rather odd happened today on the double eagle site. The top was the nest w/the camera looking down on it, but the other one was a site from Ireland, what was that all about? Tonight the site is back to normal, just curious.

  2. Just checked in at 11:00, eagle in the nest, "Spring house cleaning". Too bad it looks like another storm this week-end.

Just checked in to hear howling wind and the Eagles are nowhere to be seen. It looks like another nasty weather day.

  4. When watching Eagle Cam 2 it keeps going on and off. Eagle Cam 1 won't come up at all. Is anyone else having this problem?

  5. Leo, the same thing has happened occasionally to me. What was really weird, was when that picture of Ireland came up, did you see it? Another big storm on Monday, I'm ready for Spring.

Wow - there's quite a storm pounding the nest site. Is spring ever going to come? There's no sign of the Eagles or anything else.

  7. Just checked in, eagle on a limb, took quite a while for the live shot to come up, then it was sporadic at best.

  8. Just checked back in, and low and behold, both eagles are there. The live cam is still sporadic, first you see a black screen, then occasionally you hear the wind.

  9. Checked in at 9:30 tonight, both eagles were perched on a limb above the nest! If we didn't have the light on the nest at night I wouldn't have seen them, sounds like a good sign, doesn't it?

  10. Can someone confirm that the nest on Cam 2 is different from the one on Cam 1? Are they located near each other?

  11. I'm having trouble understanding this new blog this year. Why is it when I post a comment it says "leo said"? Can anyone explain how I change that to my name?

  12. Go to settings in your profile, then click on change, then google, then my acct., then blogger sett., then edit profile, then it should have your name typed in Display Name. Hope that helps. Judy

  13. Nest 1 and nest 2 are the same. If you check just above the picture on each site you will see that it is the same wording, they just have different angles.

Both eagles at the nest......one in and the other on a branch.
Boy, things sure are different this yr, I'm having a hard time navigating both nest blog and camera sites......on eagle cam2, the top pic looks different from the bottom pic.......aren't they supposed to be the same?
Still, I'm thrilled to see them....and have high hopes for the spring......

  15. Check in at 11:45 both eagles on the limb, then one went to the nest for a while, then back up to a limb. What beautiful birds!
