Eagles preparing for their first flight!

Hello, I am happy to report that these two eagle chicks appear to be happy and healthy. As we enter their tenth week they have been flapping their important method of developing breast musculature and preparing for their first flight. In the coming weeks you should see these birds 'branching'--moving to the outer edges of the nest and perching on nearby limbs. This is the final step before testing out their wings for the first time.

Many thanks for your interest in the webcams and don't forget to post with questions. Have a wonderful day.

All the Best,

How wonderful to be able to watch these two. Has it been determined if we might have a male and female?

    Thanks for the video!

  2. 6/30 Haven't seen the kids all day today - they truly must have fledged! An adult brought an awesome looking fish this morning but there were no takers - they had to have been gone.....the lure of free food would be too much to pass up!
Thanks Patrick & BRI for another great season! I hope we can do it again next year.

  3. Patrick, is this web cam still active?
